Brian Afnan is the Founder and Principal of Afnan & Company. Active in the development and real estate industry since 1998, Brian as experience in property acquisition, planning, entitlement, development, estimating, construction and sales. A civil engineer by training, Brian earned a Batchelor of Science and a Master of Engineering, both from Cornell University. He is a member of the Maryland Building Industry Association where he served as its President in 2025 and where he continues to serve on its Executive Committee and Board of Directors. He is also a member of the National Association of Homebuilders.

Prior to establishing Afnan & Company, Brian was a Vice President for one of the nation’s largest homebuilding companies. Brian held positions in construction, sales & marketing, land acquisition and development. In total, he was involved in the sale and construction of over 5,500 homes and the development of over 2,500 lots in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Brian now lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland with his wife, their three daughters and their dog, Goose.
