Brian Afnan is the Founder and Principal of Afnan & Company.
Active in the development and real estate industry since 1998, Brian has experience in property acquisition, planning, entitlement, development, estimating, construction and sales. A civil engineer by training, Brian earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Engineering, both from Cornell University. He is a member of the Maryland Building Industry Association where he serves as its 2025 President and is a member of the National Association of Homebuilders.

Prior to establishing Afnan & Company, Brian was a Vice President for one of the nation’s largest home building companies. Brian held positions in construction, sales & marketing, land acquisition and development. In total, he was involved with the sale and construction of over 5,500 homes and the development of over 2,500 lots in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Marland and Washington, DC.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Brian now lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland with his wife, their three daughters and the dog, Jack.
